Only 4 businesses sponsor in any one week. That keeps your banner from being one of a crowd — and it means a week can sell out. A longer sponsorship holds its place in every week of its run, so buying two weeks books both of them now.

How it works

• Pay online, reviewed by a person. You pay by card on a secure Stripe checkout page, and your words then go to the same human review as every ad on The Plain Exchange. Payment never skips the review.
• Weeks run Monday to Saturday — the six days we send ads. Once you are approved you are booked into the first week with room, usually the coming Monday, and we text you the dates.
• Short and plain. A banner is small: your business name (up to 40 characters) and one line of up to 100 characters. Emoji are removed, and web addresses stay out of the line.
• Declined sponsorships are refunded in full. If we can’t run your words, nothing runs and your payment goes back to your card — see the refund policy.
• Rather pay another way? Write to us through the website and we’ll set your sponsorship up by hand — cash, check, or a card over the phone.

Sponsor a week

After payment your sponsorship waits for review — a person reads every one before it runs — and you are booked into the first week with room. If it’s declined, your payment is refunded in full.
